The Core i7 Extreme do not work on your front-end for the motherboard, because it is not appropriate. The motherboard Asus P6T is a good motherboard for Intel Core i7 Extreme.

ASUS Striker Extreme LGA 775 is a plate - is a Q6600 LGA 775

Asus P6T is a motherboard LGA 1336 - Core i7 Extreme LGA 1336 and therefore works only on a compatible motherboard.
